What is it?
After years of growing popularity in Europe, an emerging spa and wellness trend is taking hold in North America. Halotherapy, commonly known as salt therapy, offers an approach to wellness for people seeking drug-free relief from asthma, allergies pollution and numerous other conditions that keep people from breathing freely.
Others seek out salt therapy for relief from psoriasis, eczema and acne. Still others simply enjoy the deep relaxation and health achieved during salt room sessions.
Origins & History
The origins of salt therapy date back hundreds of years, when people in Poland and other places in Eastern Europe and Eurasia flocked to the numerous salt caves and mines in the region. There, they found relief for many respiratory conditions.
Our Salt Vault
The Salt Vault is a state of the art facility offering both a relaxing and comfortable escape with the most advanced salt aeration technology available.
How does it work?
A unique machine called a halogenerator measures, delivers and monitors the dry salt aerosol containing the exact-sized, antimicrobial, salt particles needed to effectively reach into the sinuses and respiratory system. Participants lie on a comfortable ‘zero-gravity’ chair and breath in the salty air.
The size, shape and air-tight construction of the Salt Vault make it ideal for even distribution of the dry salt mist.
Scheduling
Salt inhalation sessions can be made by using the scheduling system on this page or calling us at 207-761-2122. Please be on time, only 50 minute slots available. Sessions begin every hour on the hour. If you're late, it goes into your time. Room is private for each party.
